This Privacy Policy explains how SIA STREETFOODLV (“StreetFoodLV”, “we”, “our”) collects and uses personal data in connection with the StreetFoodLV courier program and the related SMS notification service used to dispatch delivery requests to couriers. This English document is a courier-program and SMS-specific companion to our general Latvian privacy policy — for our full website privacy terms please also see the Latvian version.

2. What data we collect from couriers
- Full name provided at courier registration.
- Mobile phone number (normalized to E.164 format).
- City of operation (Liepāja, Ventspils, or Kuldīga).
- Operational metadata: registration timestamp, approval status, and records of delivery requests you accepted or declined.
3. How we use SMS notifications
By registering as a courier and providing a mobile phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS notifications from StreetFoodLV that are strictly necessary for the delivery service. Two message types are sent:
- New delivery request — sent to all active couriers in a city when the restaurant releases a delivery for pickup. Example: “StreetFoodLV Kuldīga: new delivery request! Open https://streetfoodlv.lv/kurjers to accept.”
- Order ready — sent to the assigned courier when the kitchen marks the order ready. Example: “StreetFoodLV Kuldīga: order SFL-XXXXXX is ready! You can pick it up. https://streetfoodlv.lv/kurjers”
Message frequency varies based on delivery activity. On a busy shift a courier may receive several messages per hour; on quiet days, none.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
4. Opt-out
You can stop receiving SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us — carriers process STOP requests automatically at the network level. Reply HELP to any message to get help. You can also request removal manually by emailing info@streetfoodlv.lv; we will deactivate your courier account and stop all further messages.
5. No sharing with third parties for marketing
Mobile phone numbers and any information collected under this program are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use your phone number exclusively to deliver the SMS notifications described in Section 3 through our SMS provider (Twilio Inc.), and to allow you to log back into the courier dashboard on your device. Twilio processes the message on our behalf under a data-processing agreement — it does not receive marketing rights over your number.
6. Legal basis and retention
- Legal basis: contract performance (courier agreement) and legitimate interest in operating a reliable last-mile delivery service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Courier records and SMS delivery logs are retained for the duration of the courier relationship plus 12 months for audit purposes, after which they are anonymised or deleted.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time via info@streetfoodlv.lv.
7. Security
Access tokens, phone numbers and personal data are stored in an access-controlled database. SMS content is limited to non-sensitive operational information (order number, city, dashboard link) — customer names, phone numbers, and delivery addresses are never included in SMS messages.
