These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the StreetFoodLV courier platform, including the courier dashboard at /kurjers and the associated SMS notification service. By registering as a courier you agree to these Terms. This English document is a courier-program- and SMS-specific companion to our general Latvian terms — for the full website terms please also see the Latvian version.
1. Operator
The courier platform is operated by SIA STREETFOODLV, registration number 42103087320, Latvia. Contact: info@streetfoodlv.lv.
2. Registration and approval
- Registration is done at https://streetfoodlv.lv/kurjers by submitting name, mobile phone number, and city of operation.
- New courier accounts start with the status “pending approval”. Restaurant staff of the selected city or a StreetFoodLV administrator must activate the account before any delivery requests or customer information become visible to the courier.
- StreetFoodLV reserves the right to deactivate a courier account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to inactivity, service-quality concerns, or violation of these Terms.
3. SMS notification consent
By registering as a courier and providing a mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive transactional SMS notifications from StreetFoodLV related to the courier program:
- New delivery request broadcasts sent to all active couriers of the operating city.
- Order-ready notifications sent only to the courier assigned to a specific delivery.
Message frequency varies based on delivery activity. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. Opting out disables all further SMS from the courier program and effectively pauses your account until you re-enable it by contacting info@streetfoodlv.lv.
4. Courier responsibilities
- Keep the courier dashboard tab open during working hours to receive notifications reliably (SMS is a fallback, not a guarantee).
- Only accept a delivery you can complete promptly. The first courier to press “Accept delivery” is assigned; you must then pick up the order from the restaurant at the indicated ready time and deliver it in a timely and food-safe manner.
- After handing the order to the customer, mark it as “Delivered” in the courier dashboard.
- Treat the customer’s name, phone number, and address as confidential — this information is revealed only after you claim a delivery and must not be shared, stored, or reused for any purpose other than fulfilling that specific delivery.
- Comply with all applicable traffic, road-safety, food-handling and hygiene rules of the Republic of Latvia.
5. Compensation
The StreetFoodLV platform records completed deliveries but does not process courier payouts. Compensation amount, payment frequency, and settlement method are agreed directly between the courier and the restaurant (SIA STREETFOODLV). If in doubt, clarify these arrangements with the restaurant before accepting your first delivery.
6. Liability disclaimer
The courier platform is provided as is. StreetFoodLV is not liable for:
- delivery delays caused by traffic, weather, courier availability, mobile network outages, SMS delivery failures, or third-party service disruptions (including Twilio, our SMS carrier);
- incorrect information supplied by the courier at registration or by the customer at checkout;
- damage or loss occurring while an order is in a courier’s custody — the courier alone is responsible for the physical integrity of the delivery from pickup to hand-off.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded by mandatory Latvian law.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the courier relationship at any time. You can stop by ceasing to accept deliveries and replying STOP to SMS notifications, or by asking us to delete your account. StreetFoodLV can deactivate your account through the admin console; deactivated accounts stop receiving delivery broadcasts immediately.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top will reflect material changes. Continued use of the courier platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the competent courts of Latvia. Operator details: SIA STREETFOODLV, registration number 42103087320.
